TO WITHSTAND — WE MUST ENTER INTO CONTACT WITH THE DIVINE WORLD — AND MAINTAIN THAT CONNECTION

A diver who descends to the ocean floor to work needs a sufficient supply of oxygen in order to remain underwater for a long time.
And to stay safe, he must remain connected to his friends above, who supply him with air and are ready to pull him up at the slightest sign of danger.
Only under this condition can he work.

In the same way, we are immersed in an ocean called the world.
This ocean is full of hidden rocks and sea monsters that sometimes wish to swallow us whole.

Therefore — to withstand, we too must receive oxygen,
establish the hoses through which the air can reach us —
that is, enter into contact with the Divine World and maintain our link with it.

To establish this contact, one must meditate and pray —
for these very actions create the air hose and the lifeline.

Those who say,

“I’m tired of praying, of meditating — it’s always the same; I long for something new,”

will, in the end, lose themselves in the ocean of life.

Christ was One of the Seven Kumaras, or, more correctly, One of the Three Highest, who came to our Earth from Venus to accelerate its evolution.

Christ, while cleansing and healing the sick, always felt a loss of strength. Remember, when a sick woman from the crowd touched the hem of His garment, He immediately felt a loss of His strength. With each healing, with each touch, a great spirit gives up a part of its strength. And no matter how large the reserve of psychic energy may be, it can be temporarily depleted, and these moments of depletion are full of dangers, for the protective network of the aura, not receiving the radiations coming from the reserve that nourishes our centers, is thereby disturbed, and microbes of infection can penetrate into the weakest spot. That is why Agni Yoga places so much emphasis on the preservation of the protective network. A disciple who has reached a certain level of Yoga cannot long remain in the poisoned atmosphere of cities and must go out into nature and lead a more or less secluded life.

Attachment to individual things, or to temporary and unstable forms, is a characteristic of ignorance.

At least in the West, there is a widespread misconception that where there is no form, there is nothing at all.

In REALITY, form is nothing, and THAT WHICH HAS NO FORM is ALL.

Thus, contrary to the opinion of some philosophers, NIRVANA is not annihilation, but on the contrary, the FULLNESS OF EXISTENCE.

CONSCIOUS PRANA CREATES THE PHYSICAL BODY



Prana, permeating the physical body, is a conscious life force ("lifetrons"). The electricity that ignites an incandescent lamp does not create the lamp. But electricity, or the life force in a fertilized human egg, controls all embryonic and subsequent development of the human body. Manifesting as the five vital forces of the astral body, it behaves as an intelligent or consciously directed force.

It is very unwise to constantly attribute some physical defect to oneself. If you lost an arm in this life, and the thought of this loss is so strongly impressed on your consciousness that you believe that you will never be able to use this arm again, then you carry the awareness of the missing arm into your next reincarnation. In the case when such a negative thought is strong enough, it can interfere with the creative activity of the conscious life force responsible for the formation of the arm of your new body. Therefore, never identify with the shortcomings of your physical shell. They have nothing to do with you, for you are the soul, a pure and perfect likeness of God.

So, as you understand, before you took on this physical form, you were a ghost. After death, you will become one again. Moreover, you are ghosts when you sleep, for in sleep the personality is completely unaware of itself as a physical body. Since you are a ghost in sleep, and you will become one after death, then what is the point of being afraid of ghosts? After all, this is what you were and what you will be. The only difference is that once you enter the astral world after death, you cannot create a physical body like the one you have now at will. This can only be done by great masters who have achieved oneness with the Divine Creator. Spiritually developed souls are able to densify the subtle vibrations of the astral vehicle into tangible flesh.

379. On the path to Service it is important to remember the necessity for honesty, for this is the first requirement in building. Distortion of facts is distortion of the structure. Only self-deceit impels the spirit to distortion. The Karmic mirror reflects these distortions, and the spirit which manifests a Karmic evil-interpretation, inflicts injury to the entire structure. Why, then, has humanity so enwrapped the planet with false emanations? Distortion of truth, distortion of the Teaching, distortion of principles leads to destruction. In this blind alley dwells the spirit of man who lives by egoism. One is obliged to sweep away the dust, and crevices yawn in the littered structure. Verily, ulcers of the spirit hinder the erection of the building. One must sensitively distinguish tolerance and moveability from those qualities which are so chaotically revealed in experimentation with people who turn about where neither conscience nor honesty nor truth call to the spirit. On the path to the Fiery World the first requirement is honesty. Thus let us remember.
