Now that #Wrestlemania szn is done (Night 2 > Night 1 even though I’m a huge Cody fan) there’s another Mania worth waiting for: World Series Wrestling’s #Megamania.

Looking forward not just to the show itself and the meet and greet, but also for the in-ring experience that they have introduced for May’s “Rise Against” tour.

As a long-time fan of WWE Main Event and its predecessors - WWF Superstars in the late 80’s to the 90’s and WWE Superstars in the mid-2000’s - it was a great deal for me to see these matches on the 2 April 2026 episode of WWE Main Event.

It provided context as to how the challengers for Penta’s Intercontinental title at #WrestleMania were chosen (Rusev being my favorite), and at the same time, elevated WWE Main Event (at least for this week’s episode) from being a YouTube-exclusive show featuring random clashes of midcarders to an important part of WWE programming.

🚨WWE Elimination Chamber Results (28 February 2026)🚨

🤼‍♀️ Rhea Ripley wins the Women’s Elimination Chamber match by outlasting Alexa Bliss, Asuka, Kiana James, Lash Legend, and Tiffany Stratton (4⭐️: the match had its moments, the women were allowed to shine, but the outcome was predictable.)

🏆 AJ Lee captures the Women’s Intercontinental Championship from Becky Lynch (3⭐️: feel-good win for the hometown crowd, though personally I don’t see AJ and Becky’s in-ring chemistry)

👻 Danhausen is revealed to be inside the mystery crate that was prominently featured on Raw and SmackDown (1⭐️: underwhelming introduction even if it’s an unexpected addition to the roster)

🏆 CM Punk retains the World Heavyweight Championship over Finn Balor (4⭐️: Punk looked visibly gassed early on but he and Finn still delivered an awesome match)

🤼 Randy Orton defeats Cody Rhodes, Je’von Evans, LA Knight, Logan Paul, and Trick Williams to win the Men’s Elimination Chamber match.

WWE Undisputed Champion Drew McIntyre costs Cody the opportunity as Seth Rollins is revealed to be the “masked man” who has been attacking members of The Vision for weeks. (4⭐️: the match may not be at par with some of the more memorable Chamber matches but it’s a good thing someone else won aside from Cody)
