I have been told by someone who works in the Australian petroleum industry that Australia has only 20 days supply of fuel left. I would highly recommend you fill any Jerry cans you can. At Aussie Homestead we say:" it's better to be prepared and get disappointed than get disappointed and not prepared.

Happy Fathers Day to all the hard working dads 😊
I'm spending the afternoon in the hot tub.
I've just finished making this wood fired hot tub and a full video is coming out shortly.

If you are looking at making strawberry jam try growing Red Cascade strawberries. They are small but very sweet and make the nicest tasting strawberry jam ever.. yummy 😋

Another beautiful sunset on our Off Grid property.
Makes me think of the old saying " Red sky at night, Shephards delight, red sky in the morning Shephards warning".

The Wattle trees are blooming like crazy on our Off Grid property.
This wattle is commonly called Oven Wattle, Ovens Wattle or Tumut Wattle.
Named in 1853 by botanist Ferdinand Von Mueller it is prolific in South eastern Australia.
It's actually a member of the legume family.
Its botanical name is Acacia pravissima. The pravissima is Latin for "Very Crooked" due to the way the leaves and plant grows.
Lovely to see the carpet of bright yellow flowers all over our property. The bees are having a great time.
