I am leaving the EA Creator Network.

As a small content creator, I’m tied to YouTube’s algorithm. Even little shifts in the content I create can greatly affect visibility. Simply taking a break due to health reasons, like what happened throughout October, can significantly impact numbers when I return. It’s the unfortunate truth of YouTube, or really, any social media platform. Sometimes, changing content means your sponsors become unhappy with your views or engagement and drop you. It can also lower your AdSense earnings, which are already minimal, and your income can completely disappear. For a small channel, that kind of hit can seriously affect growth.

That being said, transitions are difficult, not just financially, but emotionally too. I can’t remember a time in my life when I wasn’t playing a Sims game. It’s been a constant through all of life’s ups and downs. When I was accepted into the EA Creator Network, it was an absolute dream come true! A huge achievement that made me feel like I was finally getting somewhere with YouTube. That’s what makes this decision so hard.

I’ve said many times that The Sims franchise needs to improve in a lot of ways… and this sale isn’t an improvement. It’s a step back. It’s not just about concerns over inclusivity, but the human rights issues behind it.

As someone who believes in equality, I can’t sit back and support this. It would go against everything I stand for.

Moving forward, I won’t be making videos about new Sims content, nor will I participate in EA-sponsored giveaways or anything of that nature. I’ll continue several Sims series I’ve been working on for a while, like the Detective Diaries, Simonomics, Livable or Leave It, etc.

That said, I’ve been incredibly excited about Paralives since 2019, and I truly believe it’s the future of life sims. I’m looking forward to shifting gears and diving into everything Paralives as we get closer to its early access release in December.

If you have any other ideas for what you’d like to see on the channel, please let me know! I hope everyone here will continue this wild YouTube journey with me.
