Some decisions are not really about whether God will bless what we want.
They are about whether we are willing to let Him shape what we choose.
Matthew 6:33 calls us to seek first the Kingdom of God. That means the way of Jesus is not something we add after the decision has been made. His Word, His character and His priorities belong at the centre of how we decide.
So before the next important choice, sit with this question:
Am I asking Jesus to bless my choice, or allowing Him to shape it?

You can hold a request you've carried for a long time and still find something to thank Him for today. Philippians 4:4–7 doesn't ask you to choose.

This past Sunday, we celebrated Mummy Awolesi's birthday, and it was a beautiful day. Family came from near and far to be part of it.
So many people took a moment to share kind words about her. Her walk with Christ. Her character. The way she carries herself as a true pillar in her community. That's not just nice to hear, it's a real testimony to the life she's lived.
Happy Birthday, Mummy Awolesi. We pray God continues to bless you with long life, good health, and prosperity.
Your boss asks you to lie. A small one. Nobody gets hurt, and everyone else has already said yes.
What struck me is that he did not pretend saying no is free. He said out loud that you might lose the job. That you might not have the school fees. He let the cost stand there without rushing past it.
And then the line that has stayed with me since Sunday: it is only looking back that you will see God. Not while you are standing in it.
Which is the hard part, isn't it. The clarity comes later. The decision comes now, in the dark, on what you know about who He is rather than what you can see.

In Exodus 15, they were singing.
Between those chapters, the sea they feared was behind them. God had brought them through, and they had a song because of it.
As Bishop Henry Emmanuel said in "He Never Fails," God has done it before.

"Altar" might be the most misunderstood word in the Bible.
Most of us picture furniture. A table. A rail at the front of a church. Something you kneel at and then leave behind.
