Dehradun Police on Alert Mode Under SSP’s Directions
Following the assumption of charge on 14/02/2026, the SSP Dehradun, in his first meeting with all Station House Officers, issued clear instructions to enhance police visibility at crowded places and to conduct continuous intensive checking drives across the district to ensure public safety.
In compliance with these directions, on 15/02/2026, Dehradun Police carried out a sudden and extensive checking campaign across all urban and rural police station areas of the district. Separate police teams, led by respective Circle Officers, conducted strict checking of all private and public vehicles entering and moving within the district, including at border check posts, internal routes, and crowded areas.
During the drive, thorough verification of individuals entering the district was conducted. Police also questioned suspicious persons found moving in public places and carried out necessary verification procedures to maintain law and order.
