We’re looking for speakers for @Scale: Product, an engineering conference that brings together the best of Product @Scale, RTC @Scale, Mobile @Scale, and Video @Scale. If you're building something innovative, we want to hear from you!

Our 2025 Theme: How rapidly AI has evolved and become a part of our daily lives.

We're exploring how AI is seamlessly integrated into the products we use daily; from mobile content creation to AI agents in messaging and video enhancement tools.

@Scale: AI & Data is now open for registration!

Meta’s Engineering and Infrastructure teams are excited to bring together a global contingent of engineers who are interested in building, operating, and using AI and data systems at scale.

This year, we will focus on building a world in which Agents interact with billions of users, a critical step towards unlocking the full potential of AI and data systems. Our in-person talks and panels will delve into the latest advancements in agent development, deployment, and product integration, featuring expert insights on topics such as data for agents, agent tools & environments, safety, and privacy. Attendees can expect to gain practical knowledge and strategies for building AI-powered products, as well as a deeper understanding of the evolving ecosystem and its implications for traditional BI and product analytics.

In addition to our in-person talks and panels, our poster session will showcase a wide range of topics relevant to product analytics, exploring market opportunities, understanding trends, making better decisions, and ensuring the products and systems they build run robustly and reliably at scale. The conference will foster open discussion and collaboration across the industry, and highlight open source solutions that can be leveraged as a foundation for others to build on.

CALL FOR SPEAKERS: Systems & Reliability @Scale, May 6, 2025

@Scale is a technical conference series for engineers working on systems designed for scale. New this year, some individual topics will be coming together to create multi-track conversations, beginning with Systems & Reliability. The conference will be a one-day event, taking place on May 6, 2025. It will be hosted in person at Meta's headquarters in Menlo Park, CA, as well as virtually.

The event will showcase presentations from Meta and other industry professionals, including yourself. We encourage the broader research and engineering community to submit presentation proposals on topics related to large-scale distributed systems, such as scalability, reliability, performance, operability, consistency, and observability. This year, we are particularly interested in presentations focusing on the rising challenge of AI.

PROPOSAL SUBMISSIONS DUE: March 10, 2025

📢 We are looking for Reliability @Scale 2024 panelists and presentations!
Reliability @Scale is part of our @Scale conference series that focuses on building reliable large-scale distributed systems, and what we learn when they inevitably fail. Move Safely is the theme for this year's event, which emphasizes the critical role configuration and code safety play in achieving and maintaining reliability at scale.
We will explore this theme through discussions and presentations, focusing on innovative strategies, best practices, and cutting-edge tools and processes designed to enhance safe configuration and code changes in large-scale systems.
We are interested in topics related to the following key focus areas:
◾ Safe Deployment: Exploring methodologies and tools that ensure fast, safe and error-free code and configuration changes.
◾ Automated Checks: Implementing automated systems to validate and enforce configuration policies.
◾ Recovery and Rollbacks: Strategies for quick recovery from configuration errors, including investigation and effective rollback plans.
◾ Managing Changes for AI Workloads: Exploring the new challenges AI workloads present in safely and efficiently making changes.
◾ AI-Driven Configuration Optimization: Leveraging artificial intelligence to analyze and optimize configurations for peak performance and reliability. This includes using AI to predict potential configuration issues before they impact the system.
Last year, 23 speakers from Meta AI, Google, Microsoft, Netflix and Amazon Web Services shared reliability learnings across 10 talks and panels. If you missed any of the 2023 content, you can rewatch the presentations by visiting Reliability @Scale 2023.
🎥 This event will be virtual and will take place on October 9th, 2024. Each talk consists of a 20-minute presentation and a 30-minute live Q&A session. If you would like to give a presentation on a change safety topic, now is your chance!
