Linux For Everyone

It is immensely satisfying installing Linux on Microsoft hardware!
(As for why I'm running Ubuntu 18.04 on a Surface Book 2... I'll have to explain that in an upcoming video.) What have you slapped Linux onto recently?

Linux For Everyone

I have roughly 100+ video ideas from before Linux For Everyone went on hiatus. A "Myth Busting" series was one of them -- but I only made it through #2. Which one should I do next?

I keep seeing those "sudo apt-get install coffee" T-shirts, but I think they're ignoring an important user segment! 🤣

Linux For Everyone

Hello my friends,
You've probably noticed a loud absence of podcasts and videos lately, and I'm sorry about that. The reason is straightforward, if difficult to acknowledge.

Put simply: it's time for me to get a "real job." Late last year I realized that years of relying daily on my creative energy has left me overworked and burned out in the face of unstable and ever-fluctuating income.

Producing written content, podcasts, and video as well as building the Linux For Everyone community has been incredibly exciting and personally rewarding, but also exhausting.

I'm choosing now to put my energy and experience into a career that's still within the Linux ecosystem, but one that comes with stability and a reliable paycheck.

I can't disclose all those details yet, but until things are finalized, I will continue to write about Desktop Linux and Linux gaming (hopefully I'll continue to do that AFTER I land the job) at openforeveryone.net/.

You can stay in touch with me on Twitter (twitter.com/killyourfm)

SO NO MORE PODCASTS & VIDEOS?

In a perfect world, I'd love to hand the keys to the community to be carefully looked after, and I would occasionally show up as a guest. The Linux For Everyone brand is special, and it needs to stay alive to spread the excitement of discovering Linux. I'll be exploring ways to do this in the months ahead.

Thank you for taking this journey with me! I'm leaving the driver's seat, but it's hopefully not the end of the ride.

Until we chat again, take care! And take care of each other.
