తిరుమ‌ల శ్రీ‌వారి ఆల‌యంలో అక్టోబరు 07వ తేదిన పౌర్ణమి గరుడసేవ వైభ‌వంగా జరుగనుంది.

ప్రతినెలా పౌర్ణమి పర్వదినాన టీటీడీ గరుడ సేవ నిర్వహిస్తున్న విషయం విదితమే. ఇందులో భాగంగా రాత్రి 7 నుండి 9 గంటల నడుమ సర్వాలంకార భూషితుడైన శ్రీమలయప్ప స్వామివారు గరుడునిపై తిరుమాడ వీధులలో విహ‌రించి భక్తులకు దర్శనమిస్తారు.

RIDE – ON SWEEPER MACHINE DONATED TO TTD

Tirumala, 21 September 2025: As part of its contribution, Union Bank of India donated a Ross Street RO 1500 Ride-on Sweeper Machine worth Rs. 20 lakhs, manufactured by Rossari Professional Company, for multi purpose cleaning to TTD on Sunday evening.

In front of Srivari temple Union Bank of India Tirupati GM Sri Patri Srinivas handed over the machine to TTD Addl EO Sri Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary.

The Deputy EO Health Sri Somannarayana, Health Officer Dr Madhusudan, union bank representatives and other officials participated in this program.

15 GOLD MEDALLIONS AND TWO SILVER PLATES DONATED TO SRI VENKATESWARA

Tirumala, 22 September 2025: His Holiness Srimad Vidyadheesha Theertha Swamiji, the Pontiff of Shree Samsthan Gokarna Partagali Jeevottama Mutt has donated 15 gold medallions and two silver plates worth Rs. 1.80 crore to Sri Venkateswara Swamy on Monday.

The Swamiji presented the offerings to Sri Ramakrishna, temple Peishkar at the Ranganayakula Mandapam of the Tirumala temple.

Temple Bokkasam In-charge Sri Gururaja and others also participated in the programme.

GOLD MEDALLIONS DONATED

Tirumala, 22 September 2025: An anonymous devotee from Chennai has donated nine gold medallions worth Rs. One crore to Sri Venkateswara of Tirumala on Monday.

The donor handed over the medallions to TTD officials at the Ranganayakula Mandapam inside the temple.

DARBHA (LONG GRASS) STANDS AS A SYMBOL OF PURITY AND AUSPICIOUSNESS

Tirumala, 22 September 2025: The celestial procession of the Darbha Mat and Darbha Rope used during Dhwajarohanam ceremony as a part of Srivari Salakatla Brahmotsavams was held on Monday. The parade commenced from TTD forest department office led by its DFO Sri Phani Kumar Naidu and his staff.

Later, the mat and rope made of darbha were placed on the Sesha Vahanam inside the Ranganayakula Mandapam of the Srivari temple. The hoisting of Garuda flag on the temple on the evening of September 24 marks the beginning of the nine-day Brahmotsavam.

Darbha and its significance in temple rituals: Darbha is a long grass believed to symbolize purity and auspiciousness. The grass is traditionally believed to shield people and environments from negative energies and toxic radiation. Darbha are worn by priests and devotees during rituals to enhance the sanctity of their prayers and protect them spiritually.Darbha embodies both spiritual symbolism and ritual utility, and remains an essential part of Hindu religious life and heritage.

Vishnu Darbha: For the preparation of this sacred mat and rope, every year the TTD forest staff collects Vishnu Darbha in Chelluru village of Erpedu mandal. It was brought to Tirumala and dried in the low sun for a week, cleaned well and made into mats and ropes. The forest department staff prepared a darbha mat measuring 22 feet long and seven and a 7.5ft wide weighing around 60kg while a rope made of Darbha measuring 225m in length and weighing over 100kg. Both these holy grass materials are used during Dhwajarohanam-the sacred Garuda flag hoisting ceremony on September 24 between 5:43pm to 6:15pm in the auspicious Meena Lagnam.

Tirumala, 15 September 2025: The Honourable Prime Minister of Mauritius, Sri Navinchandra Ramgoolam had darshan of Sri Venkateswara Swamy at Tirumala on Monday evening along with his family and entourage.

On his arrival at the temple he was accorded a warm welcome by State Endowments Minister Sri Anam Ramanarayana Reddy, TTD Chairman Sri B.R. Naidu, and TTD EO Sri Anil Kumar Singhal.

After offering prayers at the Dwajasthambam, the PM of Mauritius had darshan of Sri Venkateswara Swamy.

Later, at the Ranganayakula Mandapam, Vedic scholars rendered Veda Asheervachanam, followed by the presentation of Tirtha Prasadams,, photo of Srivaru by the Chairman and EO.

TTD Board Ex-officio Member Sri Divakar Reddy, TTD Additional EO Sri Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary, CV&SO Sri Muralikrishna, and other officials were also present on this occasion.
