Have you heard of the OtherTime? I thought not. It's been erased from all records known to humans. The event was caused by an unseen change in the area of space the earth passed through during about the Victorian era. While the earth was in this area, "breaks" would occur wherever they could discreetly. People fell in, and found themselves in a world not totally unlike our own. It was different, however, because it seemed that electricity manipulated by living beings did not, or could not exist. Because of this, technological advancements in that world used gears and other mechanical mechanisms. It was a wonderful world. But, humans being humans, we sought to exploit this new land. Battles and war broke out, and in the end, the people of the OtherTime won. They were merciful, and only requested that we leave their land. We gave in, such are the rules of war, and we have not heard from them since.

Until now.
But, this being our second chance, will we do things differently?
