Flutist Amy Porter has garnered acclaim for her musical prowess and dedication to education, establishing herself as a vibrant force in the world of music. Her performances showcase her artistic range.
As an esteemed professor at the University of Michigan and celebrated performer, Amy has won prestigious awards, including the 3rd Kobe International Flute Competition, and has been featured on NPR and PBS Live From Lincoln Center.
Porter is part of Trio Virado, alongside violist Jaime Amador and guitarist João Luiz. Previously, their recording Mangabeira was lauded in the American Record Guide who described them as “...the perfect Trio.”

We’ll open the program with P. Morlacchi’s Duetto Concertante for flute, bassoon, and piano ..an energetic and virtuosic work I’m excited to share with wonderful colleagues
