Welcome to my channel! I'm William Jiamin, 佳ジア 民ミン a name which loosely translates to "Good Man, Good Citizen." As your straightforward, neighbourly chap, I find myself unexpectedly unemployed.

As someone who's deeply passionate about demystifying programming and sharing knowledge, I create this channel to share both introductory and in-depth long-form videos to cover all the exciting aspects of technology. My goal is to make programming accessible and engaging for everyone, whether you're just starting out or you're an experienced developer looking for deeper insights.

Currently, I am unemployed and do not earn any income from these videos. Creating and sharing content is a labor of love for me. If you find my videos helpful, please consider supporting the channel. You can help keep this channel alive by subscribing, liking the videos, and, if possible, joining my Patreon. Every bit of support makes a huge difference!

On me timeline lately, it’s full of AI bros bangin’ on about replacin’ this job, killin’ off that industry. (I even had a butcher’s at their work—honestly, most of it’s bang average.)

Still, I’ve had mates from all walks of life message me sayin’ they’re feelin’ dead anxious. But listen, you gotta stay grounded. Tech’s always been movin’ forward—every trade’s been evolvin’. It’s normal. There’s no need to stress, and even less reason to make rash investments or big biz decisions outta fear.

And for the love of all that’s good, don’t start thinkin’ nothin’ matters anymore.

Say this to yourself: AI can’t take away the joy of creatin’.

If you enjoy it—if it makes you buzz—keep doin’ it. Whether it’s coding, design, art, buildin’ projects, or cookin’ up a storm, life’s about that one thing: joy. As long as you’ve got joy, you’ll stay in the game.

So here’s what I hope for all of you:
Embrace new tech. Enjoy the process.
Keep creatin’—and you’ll keep feelin’ the joy.
Keep feelin’ the joy—and you’ll keep stayin’ in the game.
And as long as you’re in the game, chances will keep comin’.

Truth is, you only need one or two proper shots to hit what folks call success. But more importantly—real talk—those so-called “wins” are just by-products. They ain’t the point.

What really matters is this: you got to live, to create, to feel it all. That’s the rarest treasure in life. That alone… is more than enough.

I'm gearing up to upload and update some larger project and game source codes. For now, my Patreon price is temporarily set at $15 per month and will continue to rise with further updates. However, if you subscribe now, your price will be locked in at the current rate, even if prices increase later.

Just used the ComfyUI pixel workflow to redo my game’s background and parallax effects. Looks miles better than my original hand-drawn version! Proper grateful to be living in the AI era—without it, there’s no way I could’ve pulled this off on my own, at least not this quickly.

Hey everyone!

I'm excited to announce that I've updated my website with direct Patreon integration! Now you can easily access all exclusive videos and articles right through the site when you're logged in as a patron.

I know some folks might be tempted to just join, download all the source code, and leave - but I want you to know that being a patron is much more than just getting access to code. There are also articles explain the code step by step on my website and even video's of me explain them.

I'm constantly adding new content, tutorials, and resources every month. By staying subscribed, you'll get continuous value and access to everything new I create.

This upgrade is part of my commitment to making your Patreon experience better. There's so much more coming - tutorials, code examples, and resources that I can't wait to share with you.

Thank you to all my amazing patrons for your continued support. You make it possible for me to create quality content and keep improving. I truly appreciate each one of you who's joining me on this journey!

Looking forward to bringing you even more value in the coming months.

Best regards,

William Jiamin

Sorry everyone for the lack of updates recently. I've been in the hospital taking care of my mom for the past few months. She bravely fought cancer for nearly three years and has passed away. Thanks for all your support. I'll be gradually getting back to normal life and work, and will resume regular updates.

😔 This is it—my monthly income: just $3.00. It's tough to admit, but I'm struggling to keep my channel and myself afloat. If you've ever enjoyed my work, please consider supporting me on Patreon. Every little bit helps. 🙏❤️

A Heartfelt Message to My Valued Subscribers

Dear Friends and Supporters,

Today, I come before you with a message that weighs heavily on my heart. Over the course of our journey together, I've strived to add a personal touch to each video through hand-drawn thumbnails—a small token of my appreciation for your support and engagement.

However, as the channel has blossomed, thanks to each and every one of you, the sheer volume of content has reached a point where I can no longer sustain the creation of these unique thumbnails on my own. It's a bittersweet realization that, as a one-person team, I must shift my focus to maintain the quality and consistency of the videos you enjoy.

I extend my deepest apologies to those of you who have come to love the hand-drawn thumbnails. This decision has not been made lightly, but it is necessary to ensure that I can continue producing the best content possible for you.

From now on, I'll save the hand-drawn touches for particularly special releases. This will allow me to devote more time to researching, creating, and editing the content that brought us together in the first place.

I must also share my concern that this change might affect our channel's Click Through Rate (CTR)—a critical aspect of content discovery on YouTube. I would be immensely grateful if you could keep an eye on our uploads, giving them a chance to surprise and delight you as always. Your active participation is the fuel that keeps this channel alive and thriving.

Your understanding and support have always been the pillar of this community, and for that, I am eternally thankful. Together, I believe we can continue to grow and explore new horizons.

Thank you for being the best subscribers a creator could ask for. Here's to the next chapter in our adventure!

Warmly,
William Jiamin
