This was moments before we set off to visit some land in the interior of Tanzania. It was at this moment that I had to face a fear and strong feelings of uncomfortableness. The fear I faced was riding on the back of a motorcycle. The uncomfortableness was riding on the back of a motorcycle with a male driver.

All in all, I learned a lot this day. I even likened the feeling of riding on the back of the bike to that of riding a donkey. It was very sturdy with minimal shock absorption. Also, because of my height, it was a challenge for my legs and feet. That said, I had a great time this day.

I posted a Short of the ride. Check it out.

I had no idea how massive #mango trees could be! This image really does no justice to how huge this tree is. I asked my friend to stand near it to gain a bit of perspective. He’s about 5’9” if that helps.

FYI: This wasn’t even the largest one I saw in Tanzania. They are literally everywhere! So much so, I believe they have a mango problem during mango season.

My friends in #Tanzania took me to an outdoor mall (#SeaCliffVillage) area and on our way back to the car a Maasai Warrior inquired about my height. He saw me walking, from a distance, and thought he was taller than me. As I began to sit in the vehicle he caught the attention of one of my friends and asked her about me. She explained where I was from and he told her that he thinks he was taller. She immediately rejected the thought and asked me to come and stand next to him.
This Maasai Warrior smiled in amazement and requested to take a photo with me. Just before the picture was take he handed me his staff, which left me in amazement. That staff is only held by certain #Maasai tribal elders. So, when he gave it to me to hold I was delighted and honored that he would make that gesture.
