It doesn’t always use 2000 watts for the Speeda D1, even though its motor is rated at 2000 W. Here’s the explanation:
Rated Power vs. Actual Power
The “2000 W” is the maximum continuous power rating of the motor.
This means it can deliver up to 2000 W when under full load / maximum speed / or during acceleration.
Speed Modes (Speed 1, 2, 3)
When you’re on Speed 1, the controller limits the throttle output or current going to the motor.
Because of this, the actual power consumption is lower (for example, only 400–800 W depending on the load, road condition, and speed).
Formula
Power (Watts) = Voltage × Current
Your battery voltage is fixed (60 V).
But the current varies depending on the mode, passenger weight, incline, and speed.
With a light load on Speed 1, it might only draw 10–15 A → about 600–900 W.
On Speed 3 at full throttle, it can reach close to 2000 W (60 V × 33 A ≈ 2000 W).
In simple terms
Speed 1 – 500–800 watts (Low power)
Speed 2 – 800–1,200 watts (Medium power)
Speed 3 – up to 2000 watts (High power)
👉 Even if you’re on Speed 3 and at full speed, it doesn’t always mean it’s using 2000 watts. It could still drop to 800–1000 W if you have no passenger or a light load. 👉 It only reaches around 2000 W when carrying a heavy load, like four or more passengers.

The power source of an eTrike is the energy stored in its battery. If gasoline vehicles rely on “liters” of fuel, in the world of electric vehicles, the measurement used is kWh (kilowatt-hour) — this represents the capacity of the battery.
Now, how much usable energy can we get from a 60V 20Ah / 25Ah / 38Ah battery?
For a 60V 20Ah / 25Ah / 38Ah battery, here is the total energy:
60V 20Ah = 1.2 kWh
60V 25Ah = 1.5 kWh
60V 38Ah = 2.28 kWh
Since this is a lead-acid battery, only half of its capacity is recommended for safe use. That means the usable energy is:
60V 20Ah = 1.2 kWh → 0.6 kWh (usable)
60V 25Ah = 1.5 kWh → 0.75 kWh (usable)
60V 38Ah = 2.28 kWh → 1.14 kWh (usable)
Here are the results for running time (HOURS):
20Ah → 45 minutes
25Ah → 56 minutes
38Ah → 1 hour 26 minutes
Here are the results for distance covered: Assuming the eTrike runs continuously at 25 km/h until 50% of the battery is used:
60V 20Ah → ~19 km distance
60V 25Ah → ~23.5 km distance
60V 38Ah → ~36 km distance
Here are the results for daily use if the eTrike is only used for 15 minutes per day:
60V 20Ah → 3 days
60V 25Ah → ~4 days
60V 38Ah → ~6 days

👉 The runtime shown here is based on continuous full throttle with no stops.
📅 Step 3: Days of Use (if used only 10 minutes per day)
20Ah → 3.6 days
25Ah → 4.5 days
38Ah → 6.9 days
🚴 Step 4: Distance (how far the eTrike can travel at 25 kph speed)
20Ah → 15 km
25Ah → 19 km
38Ah → 29 km
👉 You can go farther if you drive slower than 25 kph.
⚠️ Notes ✅ These samples are based on full throttle use only, no stops ✅ Slower speed → saves battery ✅ Heavier load → drains battery faster ✅ Newer battery → better performance
