Most WW2 video’s end on 8 May 1945. This channel often picks up from there: what happened to the leaders, families, soldiers, and institutions of Nazi Germany in the decades that followed. Alongside that, the biographies, battles, and decisions that shaped the war itself.

I’m currently finished reading Richard J. Evans’s Third Reich Trilogy.

I think these three books offer one of the most detailed and accessible accounts of Nazi Germany, from its rise to power, through the transformation of German society, to the war and the regime’s eventual destruction.

It is a pretty substantial read, but absolutely worth the time. I would highly recommend the trilogy to anyone interested in the history of the Third Reich and the Second World War.

Have you read any of these books? Let me know in the comments 👇

Within five years, one had been hanged by the Allies, another executed on Hitler’s orders, and the rest faced death, dismissal, imprisonment or trial.
