Most WW2 video’s end on 8 May 1945. This channel often picks up from there: what happened to the leaders, families, soldiers, and institutions of Nazi Germany in the decades that followed. Alongside that, the biographies, battles, and decisions that shaped the war itself.
My name is Jordy, and I'm the creator behind History Inside. History Inside is a one-person WW2 documentary channel.

New video is live.
In March 1945, German general Dietrich von Saucken walked into the Reich Chancellery with his sabre at his side, his monocle in place, and refused to obey Hitler to his face.
Eight weeks later, he was offered a chance to escape west.
He refused that too.
This is the story of the German general who defied Hitler, stayed with his men, and paid for it with ten years in Soviet captivity.

But higher up the same mountain, the Eagle’s Nest was left standing.

Genuinely curious what you'd think of this. Your answers decide whether I build it.
I'm thinking about starting a book club for History Inside. We'd read one WW2 / Third Reich book together every couple of months and discuss it as a group, with my own notes and analysis. Would you join?

Some of the doctors who committed horrific crimes under the Nazi regime were put on trial after the war. Others quietly disappeared into new careers.
A few were even recruited by the United States and became part of the race to win the Cold War.
My new video looks at what happened to the fugitive Nazi doctors after 1945, where they went, what they did next, and why so many of them escaped justice.👇
