What is the Significance of Guru Gobind Singh Jayanti ?

Guru Gobind Singh Jayanti (also known as Govind Singh) is a Sikh festival commemorating the 10th Guru of the Sikhs, Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s birthday. It is a religious festival where prayers are offered for prosperity.

Guru Gobind Singh’s birth anniversary is being celebrated throughout the country by offering prayers and carrying out processions, it is an auspicious day. Guru Gobind Singh, the 10th Sikh guru, was born in Patna. At the age of nine, after the demise of his father, Guru Tegh Bahadur, the ninth Sikh Guru, he became a Sikh guru.

He established the significance of the Sikh faith and its teachings from the religion for the benefit of mankind. It was he who proclaimed the permanent Sikh Guru to be the Guru Granth Sahib, the Holy Scriptures, and his teachings are also revered by those of other religions.

Guru Gobind Singh Ji, the son of Guru Tegh Bahadur, gave his life to preserve religious freedom. At nine years of age, he succeeded his father when he became a Guru. The teachings of Guru Gobind Singh Ji had a huge influence on Sikhs. He stood up against the Mughal rulers and fought against injustice during his lifetime. In 1699, Guru Gobind Singh Ji took five men from the lower caste of society and baptized them as His Five Beloveds, giving them great courage and devotion to God.

NATIONAL YOUTH DAY 2021

(Yuva Divas) National Youth Day is celebrated every year on 12 January to inspire the youth and the younger generation of the country. It is celebrated on the birthday occasion of Swami Vivekananda. In 1984, the Government of India declared this day as National Youth Day, and has been celebrated in India every year since 1985.

It was in 1984 the Government of India’s decision to celebrate the birthday of the great Swami Vivekananda, i.e. January 12, which becomes National Youth Day every year. The Government of India quoted Swami Vivekananda’s philosophy and the ideas on which he worked lived and as an inspiration for Indian Youth Day.

National Youth Day raises awareness about the rights of the people of India. This is the day to make people aware of how to treat people in the country. The main motive behind the celebration is to create a better future for the country by motivating the youth and spreading the ideas of Swami Vivekananda. National Youth Day is also known as Youth Day.

The main purpose of celebrating this is to spread the philosophy and ideals of Swami Vivekananda. He is certainly a great role model for all the youth of India.

In schools and colleges, parades, music, speeches, seminars, youth conferences, yoga, recitation, presentation, essay-writing and sports competitions are celebrated every 12 January. Swami Vivekananda's speech and writings are remembered to inspire the youth for a better India.
