The Family Federation for World Peace and Unification (FFWPU) was founded on May 1, 1954, by Rev. Sun Myung Moon and Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon under the name "The Holy Spirit Association for the Unification of World Christianity."

On July 30, 1997, the official name was changed to
"Family Federation for World Peace and Unification."

Today, under the vision of One Human Family Centered on Heavenly Parent, we operate as the "Heavenly Parent's Holy Community – Family Federation for World Peace and Unification."
