🇬🇧 Why did I decide to cross Italy? . The first reason is that I really needed to be out in the nature, away from the superficial problems and chaos of big cities. . Maybe I haven't found a "real adventure" in Italy, but it is a perfect territory for training and to improve the techniques for any activity: from climbing, trekking or cycling through mountain ranges to exploring rivers and sea coasts by kayak. . I had already made several trips in the past by bicycle, but it's enough to change activity and prospective to discover hidden places and meet wonderful people with whom I created memories that will remain with me forever. . The economic aspect was another reason. The entire crossing, lasting about three months, did cost me just around €600 (sleeping in a tent, eating with a stove and moving with my own strength). This year I'm trying to save as much as possible, so I can invest everything in my next big project. . I also kept my promise made to Aigul 5 years ago: to take her to Etna. I had shown her photos and videos of my trips in Sicily, and after years they finally turned into a real experience for her. . In the next few months I will continue to train and prepare in Italy, also participating in some sportive events. Il primo motivo è che avevo davvero bisogno di passare del tempo nella natura, lontano dai problemi superflui e dal caos delle grandi città. . Non ho trovato un avventura "vera" in Italia, ma è un territorio perfetto per allenarsi e migliorare le tecniche per qualsiasi attività: dall'arrampicata, al trekking o al ciclismo attraverso catene montuose al percorrere tratte su fiumi e coste in kayak. . Avevo già fatto diversi viaggi in passato in bicicletta, ma è sufficiente cambiare attività e prospettiva per riuscire a scoprire luoghi nascosti e incontrare persone meravigliose con le quali ho creato ricordi che rimarranno per sempre. . L'aspetto economico è stato un altro motivo. L'intera traversata, durata tre mesi, mi è costata circa 600 € (dormendo in tenda, mangiando con il fornellino e spostandomi con le mie forze). Quest'anno sto cercando di risparmiare il più possibile, così da poter investire tutto nel mio prossimo progetto. . Ho anche mantenuto una promessa fatta ad Aigul 5 anni fa, ovvero di portarla sull'Etna. Le avevo mostrato foto e video della Sicilia, e dopo anni si sono finalmente trasformati per lei in una vera esperienza. . Nei prossimi mesi continuerò ad allenarmi e prepararmi in Italia, partecipando anche ad alcuni eventi sportivi. Potrò godermi il nostro territorio e il buon cibo solo fino a ottobre, poi si parte. . 🇬🇧 What is the longest land distance that can be traveled on our planet?
After seeing the famous image of the "longest road in the world" my new project was born, in which I modified and further extended the route.
In my next adventure I will travel alone over 29.000 km that separate the Southernmost point of Africa (Cape Agulhas, South Africa) with the Easternmost point of Asia (Cape Dezhnev, Russia).
It will be an incredible journey, from the hot African savannah to the cold Arctic tundra, to discover populations with different cultures.
The route includes: 3 continents 12 countries 12 time zones Over 29.000 km Around 400 days
I'll try to complete this adventure by April 2023, in order to be able to ride on the frozen rivers of Yakutia and to pull the sled by skis through Chukotka.
I don't know if I will succeed. I want to go and try, leaving no room for doubts or regrets.
🇮🇹 Quale è la più lunga distanza terrestre percorribile sul nostro pianeta?
Dopo aver visto la famosa immagine della "strada più lunga del mondo" è nato il mio nuovo progetto, nel quale ho modificato e allungato ulteriormente il percorso.
Nella mia prossima avventura percorrerò in solitaria gli oltre 29.000 km che separano il punto più a Sud dell'Africa (Capo Agulhas, in Sudafrica) con il punto più ad Est dell'Asia (Capo Dezhnev, in Russia).
Sarà un viaggio incredibile, dalla calda savana africana alla gelida tundra artica, alla scoperta di popoli con culture diverse.
Il percorso prevede: 3 continenti 12 paesi 12 fusi orari Oltre 29.000 km Circa 400 giorni
Cercherò di completare questa avventura entro aprile 2023, per poter percorrere in tempo le piste invernali sui fiumi ghiacciati in Yakutia e successivamente trainare la slitta con gli sci attraverso la Chukotka.
Non so se ci riuscirò. Voglio partire e provarci, senza lasciare spazio a dubbi o rimpianti.
