The intersection of gardening, homesteading, nature and botany is what this channel is about. I hold a PhD in Plant and Soil science and that knowledge informs much, though not all, of what I discuss. :) I include domestic animals and plants as well as wild organisms, hikes etc. Techniques of plant identification and plant anatomical structures are a special focus. But practical knowledge of pollination, grafting, various techniques of propagation, photoperiodism etc. are also covered. Based in Midwest USA specifically the state of Missouri. Occasional lectures/talks on biology. Humans have an innate interest in other living organisms, Biophilia. Some of us have it more than most. I love seeing and nurturing living organisms of all types and showing others what I find. :) You can also find me on Twitter @Biophiliaceae

Etsy shop is open again, with purple milkweed and Oldfield milkvine seeds. I *may* have a few more fourleaf milkweed seeds to list later in the season. Hoping to list some goat milk soap soon. :)

I finally got my Etsy shop up and running. All seeds at the moment. I don't have my native Milkweed seeds posted yet, but that is what is coming next. I have a few Four Leaf Milkweed seeds to sell.

This may look like a bit of twine I dropped but it is Dodder, a parasitic member of the morning glory family. A very interesting if problematic plant. It "roots" into other plants to steal their resources rather than rooting into the soil and photosynthesizing.
