Update to "Who made the 1st PC case with a PSU shroud?" discussion. Could be a neck and neck race to 1st between Antec P180 and the Silvertone Tj07 case. Who made the 1st PC case with a PSU shroud?
In 2005, Antec released the P180. The first case midsection "floor" above PSU. This case was designed with help from Mike Chin at silentpcreview.com
In 2009 Corsair 800D releases with midsection "floor" above PSU.
In 2014 NZXT and Fractal Design introduced fully enclosed PSU shrouds, but we'll never know who's Engineer designed it first. I do know Fractal and NZXT shared the same OEM plant in Tawain at the time.
Jan 14th 2014, 1st review of NZXT H440. First case to have midsection shrouded (PSU shroud)
Nov 25th, 2014, Fractal Design announces R5 with their first PSU shroud.

The greatest joy I get out of running Mnpctech for the past two decades is seeing how you guys utilize my mod products in your PC builds. Does finbarq's 3090 hanging from the ceiling of his Dynamic 011 look ridiculous? YES, but look again, it's right next to the fans soaking in cool air. I envisioned a lot of scenarios for how my Stage 2 vertical mounts would be utilized, but your ideas keep amazing me. There's no rule book for this hobby. Most of innovations you see in retail PC cases were already done by a PC Modder somewhere in the world. If you wanna try modding for the first time, seek a local electronics recycler near you and buy an old PC case. It's so fun and you'll learn so many new things.
