Do you have any hacks for coming up with good ideas?
The best way I know to come up with good ideas is to work on difficult projects and be on the look out for problems that you can solve.
Any successful business idea I've pursued has come from solving a personal problem I came across.

AI is coming for your dev job. Why aren't you building your own business?
You should start, like yesterday.
It's soooo incredible what you can build now and how fast you can build it. With Next.js, Supabase, Stripe, the Fingo Context VS Code extension, and Cursor Agent, you can build anything.
I still can't get over how incredible it is to be a creator right now.
Don't wait for AI to replace you. Start building something that people want and are willing to pay for.

I find that ChatGPT 5 Codex usually responds correctly the first time, while GPT-5 Mini sometimes takes 2 or 3 tries to get it right.
I'm constantly torn on whether I should just be ok paying 5x more for the GPT-5 Codex to get it right the first time or use the Mini version.

Greek used to be written entirely in uppercase without punctuation marks.
I wonder if we'll transition to writing everything in lowercase without punctuation marks one day because of things like AI.
I've started almost completely typing in lowercase without many punctuations because it's faster.

Perplexity's Comet AI Agent web browser. It's scary good. I just told it to write the alt text for all the photos in a project I'm working on.
It's actually writing the photo alt text on auto-pilot accurately.

I'm blown away how often I come across a complicated problem with software services that have existed for over 10 years that are owned by trillion dollar companies. These services are still difficult to learn how to use.
Do you think it's a tactic? Do you think that by keeping complexity high, it makes customers feel like it's worth more?
Or do you think they just don't care about their users?

Max Mode is definitely worth it in Cursor. The AI Agent was not able to solve my problem, then I turned on Max Mode and it instantly fixed the issue.
