I’m obsessed with understanding the science behind each recipe, and the name theBread.code(); originates from my background as a software engineer. My goal is to democratize baking by showing people that you don’t need expensive tools to make amazing bread. Gluten Tag. Just shipped a pizza calculator update (also my default sourdough calculator by the way). For pizza you can now simplify shopping and see exactly how much mozzarella and sauce you should purchase. The basic calculator is a bit basic 😂. Link in comments.

Test your baking knowledge 🧠 🍞. This was a great recent community question: "Every time I try to make a sourdough loaf it ends up a mess. I do not have a proofing basket but I have seen people doing it with just a bowl and a cloth. But everytime I try to do that, it sticks to the cloth."
