I am a writer, recording artist, and recovering addict documenting my healing journey to self-mastery. I am raising teenagers alone on a budget, healing myself and my family from early childhood trauma, cooking delicious homemade vegan food, and seeking to understand the true nature of God and my place in this world. I am about to stop answering the phone when my teenagers call me. Who walks down the street and gets landed on by a random parakeet?

The boys called animal control multiple times-the emergency number for after hours field EMERGENCIES-and no one picked up. They knocked on doors trying to find an owner. Apparently the bird attacked some guy who had tried to pick him up. But, he flew right to my son and refused to leave.

So, now My Gemini has a pet dinosaur.

I told him to keep that thing at his friends house, as our resident house cat will have an actual fit (and a very smart snack) if he brings him home.
