It's a song you & the one you love can call "your song", & attach your unforgettable memories to.
It's been a minute since I've released something wholesome. The emotions we all carry are so vast, & I tend to find more inspiration in melancholic topics. Though there's always something so relieving about writing triumphant, joyous music.
Trying ceaselessly not to cling to the crumbling of the world, but instead seek its opposite.
I used to write endlessly about finding the optimism in it all. During a time where perhaps it wasnβt as needed. The world seemed more peaceful a decade ago, though itβs likely I was just young, & couldnβt see it.
Regardless of whether or not thatβs the case, itβs needed now.
The most productive thing we can do is look inward. Question why we believe what we believe. Why we're so eager to criticise others without context.
I'll be blatant, this endeavour often feels futile to me, though I'm also well aware it isn't.
It's frustrating how easy it is to flick between perspectives.
Believing we have power, yet also don't.
We need to stop underestimating our own influence. The impact we can make upon the world.
Our voices can be just as loud as any other if we carry enough courage.
