So I took a lot of time off from doing One Piece TV Remixes because, honestly, I was pretty discouraged. I finally met the requirements to try and monetize my channel, but after review YouTube determined that what I'm doing with the remixes was not "original" enough work and that what I was doing was "not unique" (despite the fact that there is literally NOBODY ELSE on YouTube or any other platform doing what I'm doing).
While I was taking a break my first child was also born so I have had my hands full along with YouTube deflating my enthusiasm.
Anyway, I am now currently reviewing tracks that I had put off due to the soundtracks not being available. I grabbed a copy of the latest soundtrack CD from Japan and will hopefully be releasing some new stuff in the coming weeks/months. Stay tuned for updates!
I've also attached a poll to this post (even though I don't have a huge subscriber base so I'm not sure how many results I'll get). I'm curious to see if those visiting my channel and listening to my work here agree with YouTube that it isn't really unique and I shouldn't be able to monetize. Please vote if you have a moment.
Currently looking into new TV remix options for the last few episodes of One Piece. Unfortunately it looks like they used a newer/different version of "We Are!" for the end of the latest episode (1028) than has ever been released before. They spliced it with "We Go!" from Stampede, but a good portion appears to be an unreleased track. This may be a track that will be coming out on the upcoming Film: Red soundtrack, however that album isn't slated to release until November of this year. If i can't piece something together I will look at other projects to tide me over until that album comes out, and hope they have this new version of We Are on there!
