My name is Anton and I explain science, math or other complicated topics using simulations, video games and easy to understand words.
This is a (mostly) family friendly channel with the focus on science education.
All of the videos are meant to be informative and will teach you fun facts about science you probably didn't know.
So subscribe and stuff
Because people keep asking me about background:
-Bachelor of Science, McGill University (2006)
-Worked as Astrobiology researcher in the Dr Hojatollah Vali lab at McGill
-Master of Science and Math Education, University of Toronto (2014)
-Math/Science/Coding teacher since 2007 in various schools, currently South Korea

Oopsy, I accidentally posted two videos at once.
This one is super exciting as it shows first strong evidence of the earliest stars in the universe (Population III stars) revealed by JWST

Oopsy, I accidentally posted two videos at once. This one on the Anti-matter Express was supposed to be out today.
Enjoy the cool new achievement by CERN in case you missed it!

World's oldest butt hole!
Now you've seen it all
More info:
299-million-year-old mud in today’s central Germany has preserved what may be the oldest known fossilized cloacal “butthole” imprint, from a small lizard-like reptile newly named Cabarzichnus pulchrus.
The rare, finely detailed impression captures the multi-purpose rear opening used for waste, sex and egg-laying, offering a unique glimpse into how this crucial orifice evolved in early reptiles

Most powerful solar radiation storm in the last 2 decades just happened and will probably result in beautiful aurora in many regions for days to come
Check it out at night if you're in dark enough conditions
(these are not dangerous on Earth, the radiation is blocked by the atmosphere)

My kids and wife decided to surprise me with a star wars themed balloon party and according to them I'm now #1 dad.
They also added that "Darth Vader balloons declared me the best father in the galaxy
A dad so powerful even the dark side would ask me for parenting tips.
May my reign be long, my jokes be bad, and balloons forever slightly menacing"

Check out this crazy image of the cosmic exclamation point
Astronomers have discovered the first galaxy-wide wobbling black hole jet in VV 340a, a star-forming disk galaxy, reshaping our view of galaxy evolution. Keck Observatory's KCWI revealed massive super-heated gas streams up to 20,000 light-years long, driven by a precessing jet that strips gas equivalent to 20 suns per year, halting star formation.

This new image shows two huge spiral galaxies that swung past each other millions of years ago, and their gravity is now yanking and twisting their beautiful spiral arms. Astronomers combined two kinds of vision to make this picture: infrared light from the James Webb Space Telescope, which highlights warm dust and places where new stars are forming, and X-ray light from the Chandra X-ray Observatory, which shows extremely hot gas and intense high‑energy activity.
Even though the close encounter itself was brief in cosmic terms, the consequences will last for billions of years as the galaxies slowly lose energy, spiral closer together, and eventually merge into one larger galaxy. In other words, this snapshot is just one frame in a very long gravitational dance that will completely reshape both galaxies over time.

Here is an example of a what a modern astronomical image looks like when contaminated by starlink satellites
This will only get worse as Amazon and China join on with a planned 500,000 satellites in the next decade
