CHINA: Imprisoned Pastor’s Health Declining

The family of imprisoned house church pastor Sun Chenghao is deeply concerned after learning that the 44-year-old pastor recently lost consciousness in prison.

Pastor Sun is serving a four-and-a-half-year sentence after travelling legally to South Korea with other Christians for Christian exchange activities. His family and lawyers maintain that no crime was committed.

Despite the hardship, Sun’s wife has encouraged him to remain hopeful in the Lord.

ALGERIA: Prison Sentences Against 10 Christians Dropped

An answer to prayer!

Ten Algerian Christians who were facing the possibility of significant prison sentences have had their cases dismissed.

As they waited at home – barred from entering the court – they received the news they had been praying for. While each believer must still pay a significant fine, they will not face prison in these cases.

“Thank the Lord, our God, for answering our prayers,” a front-line worker said.

HAITI: Christians Targeted in Massacre, 47 Killed

At least 47 people were killed in a major gang attack in Haiti’s Kenscoff commune, including five children. More than 50 others were kidnapped.

The attackers targeted a church compound where displaced families had sought refuge. According to the UN, 22 people were reportedly executed inside the church grounds.

Yet Haitian believers continue serving their communities and pointing people to Christ.

OCCUPIED UKRAINE: Pastor Appeals Deportation Order

Pastor Vladimir Rytikov, 67, was born in Krasnodon and has lived there his entire life. Now, Russian occupation authorities are seeking to deport him.

For years, Pastor Vladimir has faced fines and court hearings for leading an unregistered Baptist church. When authorities raided his church in January, he prayed for them and then spoke to them about Christ.

Pray that Pastor Vladimir and his wife, Lyudmila, will be strengthened as they wait. Pray for justice at his appeal and that his Christlike witness will touch the hearts of those deciding his future.
