From December 1 to 4, Hanwha Aerospace was at EDEX 2025,
the largest defense exhibition in the Middle East and Africa, held in Cairo, Egypt! 🚀

With 450 defense companies from 35 nations joining,
Hanwha Aerospace presented integrated security solutions, tailored for the MENA region.

Highlights included three types of the Chunmoo 1.0 guided missile with ranges up to 290 km, and the Chunmoo 2.0, equipped with an Anti-Ship Ballistic Missiles (ASBM) system to target moving maritime threats with precision—showcased as Hanwha’s proud full-scale models of precision strike capabilities. 🎯

Further, on display were ground-based defense offerings—most notably the K9 Self-Propelled Howitzer prepared for Egypt’s coastal defense, together with course-correction fuses, precision-guided munitions, electro-optical tracking systems (EOTS) and radar, all working together to elevate artillery operations performance. We also introduced our integrated next-generation air defense lineups such as the long-range surface-to-air missile (L-SAM), a 40mm unmanned air-defense platform, short-range drone launchers, and the upgraded TAipers—initially developed as air-to-surface missiles, now refined for surface-to-surface operations. 🚀

From September 18–20, Hanwha invited U.S. Korean War veterans and their families to their production sites in South Gyeongsang Province together with Korea’s Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs.
It was a meaningful moment to honor their sacrifice and celebrate the value of the Korea–U.S. alliance 🤝.

⚓ Among the guests were Mrs. Lois R. Gwyn (98), who served as a nurse aboard the U.S. Navy hospital ship USS Haven, and Mr. Robert M. Martinez (94), a former U.S. Army sergeant. They were joined by about 85 U.S. Forces Korea personnel and family members who visited Hanwha Ocean's Geoje facility and Hanwha Aerospace's Changwon facility.

The delegation observed live demonstrations of the K9 SPH and the Chunmoo MRLS, with some even having the chance to board the K9 howitzers. Comparing today’s systems with those from the Korean War, the veterans were deeply moved by Korea’s remarkable rise as a global defense powerhouse. ✨

On the 75th anniversary of the Korean War, Hanwha Aerospace remains committed to remembering these heroes and, with heartfelt gratitude, upholding the lasting value of the ROK–U.S. alliance. 🙏

Hanwha Aerospace is joining MSPO 2025 (September 2–5, Kielce), Europe’s largest defense exhibition! ✨
We’re showcasing integrated defense solutions tailored for Europe and Poland’s future defense needs.

At our booth, a wide range of advanced systems are on display: ⚡
⭐ Chunmoo MRLS with three guided missile types
⭐ Unmanned and high-performance rocket launchers, MCS, and 155mm precision-guided shells
⭐ The upgraded K9A2 Self-Propelled Howitzer and the K9 Mobile Howitzer

Hanwha Aerospace also signed a cooperation MoU with Poland’s Military University of Technology (WAT), and reached a final agreement with WB Group to establish a joint venture for producing the 80km-range CGR-080 guided missile, which will be mounted on the Polish export variant of Chunmoo, the Homar-K. 🤝

On Day 1, Poland’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense, along with key leaders from Norway and Saudi Arabia, visited our booth to discuss strategic cooperation.
