My family and I moved from Germany to Réunion Island to start a new life in the Indian Ocean. On this channel, I share what that adventure is really like: moving abroad, buying and renovating our home, everyday life, culture and island living – including the successes, challenges and surprises.
I also take you into Réunion’s spectacular nature: hiking, volcanoes, mountains, ravines, waterfalls, beaches and wild landscapes, from famous sights to places off the tourist trail.
From Réunion, I also travel to Mauritius, Madagascar and across the Indian Ocean. I’m interested not only in dream beaches and tourist attractions, but also in local people, everyday life, prices, culture and the reality behind the holiday scenery.

Am 01.04. ist auch bei uns der Sprit teuer geworden und ist jetzt fest bis Ende des Monats. (Super 1,96 EUR, Diesel 1,77 EUR, Landwirtschaftsdiesel 1,23 EUR) Die Erhöhung ergibt sich nur aus den höheren Einkaufskosten, da die Margen für die Unternehmen und Tankstellen fix sind. Aktuell laufen Beratungen, wie die lokalen Steuern ggf. gesenkt werden können, um weitere Erhöhungen abzufangen, falls es so weitergehen sollte.
