Just in case you missed it and are looking for something to watch in this fine evening, I recently tried to beat Blasphemous without resting at the Prie Dieu. To top it off, I thought attempting this as an Iron man run would be a good idea.

I've got a few Youtube end encoding issues that I'm trying to sort out which are holding things up. Mostly around audio which has been a bit tough to sort this time around for some reason. I don't think it will be noticeable or the final video beyond the odd micro crackle.
I've also had a thumbnail artist reach out and offer to produce something better for this video, so I'm hoping they will come back to me with something awesome before I pull the trigger on releasing this.
I've got the footage. I've got the script. Now I just need to painstakingly craft the video. Our next challenge is very much on its way.
This one was interesting to play - I was curious how things would go if I tried to beat Blasphemous without ever using the Prie Dieu (or Sanguine Fountains), essentially removing all conventional healing from the game.
I then added a little more spice to this challenge to up the ante, but I'll save that as a surprise for when the vid is available.
CONTENT UPDATE - A bit of a long one, but lots of interesting information if you are enjoying the content.
BLASPHEMOUS
As it stands, I've got two more things going on for Blasphemous:
1) The first is something you are likely aware of from my last message - I'm trying to beat Isadora without any upgrades, and it's absolutely awful. I've definitely making progress and getting further into the fight more consistently, but this one may not happen any time soon. I'm going to keep chipping away with a few attempts a day and we will see where we get to with that.
2) I'm starting to work on one more challenge. I don't think it's going to be quite as insanely difficult as not using upgrades, but I am anticipating some frustrations. This one will allow me access to most of the game's arsenal, which you would think would be a good thing. Turns out I'm terrible at this game when I play it somewhat properly. Still, it's fun to play the game almost properly but with a slightly masochistic twist.
CHALLENGE RUNS
In terms of other content, I've got a real urge to replay Hollow Knight, so I might put something together for that soonish. I've been loving Silksong so far and I'd like to visit that at some point. Blasphemous 2 will be on the cards at some point and I've had a few other metroidvanias mentioned that I'd love an excuse to play and talk about.
If there are any games you would like to see, feel free to suggest them. I'm not going to make any promises as if I don't currently own it, I'm not likely to buy it any time soon (since I don't actually make any money doing this), but I can and will add interesting ideas to my growing list and hopefully get through some of them in due time.
As much as I love Blasphemous and metroidvanias, that's not all what I'm about. I love all sort of games and I absolutely want an excuse to play challenges in anything that takes my fancy. I'm particularly fond of anything that limits resources (think survival horrors) and I owe myself a trip into a souls(like) or two.
OTHER CONTENT
I want to start working through my current backlog of 1959 games. It can be hard to find time to try new games though when I also want to be creating challenge run videos for the games I know you are all enjoying.
I might put together some summarised playthrough/opinion pieces on some of them as a bit of a halfway solution - I get the chance to play some other things and you still get to hear me talking about my experience playing something (which apparently is quite entertaining). Who knows; if I really like a game then that could be a great excuse to run a challenge or two for it 😅.
For what it's worth, I know a lot of you are here for Blasphemous and challenge runs, so I won't be offended if not everything I put out is for you. Do let me know what you are enjoying though, as I really do want to balance what I'm producing and ultimately make sure that you all have a reason to keep coming back.
If there is enough demand for specific things, then I can start giving you guys some control over what I attempt via polls. I do need information for that though, so ideas are welcome.

Ever wondered if you can beat Blasphemous using only prayers? Well I did. Then I thought about it some more, and realised what a terrible idea it was. Here we go I guess.....
Despite rumours that I may have got abducted by aliens, I am in fact still producing a new Blasphemous video and intend to release it.....at some point. Look - I even have a thumbnail!
In all seriousness though, I'm aiming for this weekend but it is more likely to be next weekend (as I have the flu).
Sometimes, the challenge is less about raw skill and more about having done meticulous research to figure out what is even possible. Let's hope it pays off....
Bonus props if you figure out the challenge (and I think most of you will).
