Identifying a genuine Gadwal silk saree isn't about guesswork; it's about structural inspection. When you are looking for an heirloom piece, you need technical proof.

One of the easiest ways to spot a powerloom imitation is the "Fuzz Test" on the reverse side.

⬅️ Handloom (Real): Notice the clean, smooth finish. The weaver manages every thread end personally.

➡️ Powerloom (Fake): Look for the "cut-work" threads jump from motif to motif. It leaves a "fuzzy" or "hairy" texture that a machine cannot avoid.
