Forget the Animals of Farthing Wood, although I did love them as a kid.
My great uncle Tommy when in the SAS in the early 70's bought this property with woods and meadows all around him.
He nurtured the wildlife and loved watching the many species his garden helped feed.
Sadly he passed earlier this year 2019 at his cottage in his sleep at the grand old age of 89.
He wasn't in the best of health at the end, but still had a great view of the many bird feeders from his armchair.
And loved watching the many birds especially the blue tits, woodpeckers and buzzards.
We also have an abundance of pheasants and deer with the rarer animals being a pine marten and a stoat.
With perseverance I will get some footage.
This won't be David Attenborough quality but I hope you appreciate my efforts and if you have any suggestions, please send them over.
You'll get to see the assortment of my family dogs my boy Red & his brother & sister JRT x Lakeland Terriers.
