Here's a fix for a small kitchen that will seem bigger without adding a single square foot:

Skip tons of wide, horizontal drawer fronts and choose tall, vertical cabinet door panels instead.

Wide horizontal lines pull your eye side to side, which only emphasizes how narrow the room already is.

Vertical lines pull your eye up, and a kitchen that reads taller automatically reads bigger.
