In the collect from last Sunday, we ask God to aid us in reading the Holy Scriptures, granting us to "hear them, read, mark, learn, and inwardly digest them." Just in time for this prayer is an excellent piece on Anglican doctrine of scripture from Fr. Christopher Poore through his blog: "Sourcing an Anglican Doctrine of Scripture: William Whitaker." I commend it to your reading: substack.com/home/post/p-179264751
One of the challenges that The Episcopal Church faces in getting its best theology out there is that much of the current good work is happening on blogs and websites. Maybe I need to launch a weekly "Blog Roundup" to highlight a few good things that have come out this week.

Some of you in the comments scoffed at the suggestion that Archbishop Mbanda's communique might prove to be an overreach, but here the Anglican Church of Congo, a GAFCON member, has stated its intention to remain in the Anglican Communion!

I'll be recording a video very soon with the Rev. Mark Michael, editor-in-chief of The Living Church. He's been doing excellent reporting on global Anglicanism, including recent rumblings from GAFCON.

Dean Andrew McGowan, who I had on to talk about the next Archbishop of Canterbury, has dropped a really helpful blog post entitled: "No, the "Global South" Has Not Left the Anglican Communion" (linked below). I am seeing a number of reactions that don't seem to understand Anglican polity at all (Redeemed Zoomer saying the ABC is basically like the pope, which is not at all true, comes to mind). Anglican polity is all about autonomous national churches. The Archbishop of Rwanda hath no jurisdiction here, or even over any member church of gafcon. Read more here:

I'm looking for some audience input on an episode regarding common takes/stories/myths when it comes to the Episcopal Church and the formation of the Anglican Church in North America. In particular, I am hoping to address the degree to which any priest or bishop was forced out.
What are claims you've heard that you want addressed?
Or perhaps more generally, what are claims you've heard made about or against the Episcopal Church when it comes to "conservative" priests and bishops since the ACNA split that you'd like more clarity about?
