Morioka City was selected as one of the "52 Places to Go in 2023" by The New York Times, then I think some of you are planning to make Morioka your travel destination this summer. In July, I will share Japanese gardens, including three in Morioka.

Today's video focus mainly on architectures, but it also introduces a small portion of the garden next to the public bathhouse.
Most of the gardens that remain for posterity are those of wealthy people or temples, but this small garden shows us unnamed garden that was a part of the lives of ordinary Japanese people.

I plan to post several videos of Japanese houses. While some buildings attached to Japanese gardens are not open to the public or photography is prohibited, Edo-Tokyo Open Air Architectural Museum is a highly recommended destination for those interested in traditional Japanese architecture.
