Everyone grieves in their own way. I chose not to make a video remembering Farooq, and the truth is, it was just too hard for me to go through all of our old videos together.
Maybe someday I can make this video, but right now, it’s just too much.
I really hope you guys understand it’s not because I didn’t have the footage. I have tons of behind-the-scenes footage with him. It was just too hard to do.
Earlier today, Farooq was involved in a fatal motorcycle accident and sadly passed away.
Farooq was an incredible person and a dear friend to so many of us. He shared his passion, his kindness, and so much of himself with this community for many years, and I know his loss will be felt deeply by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
He will be dearly missed, and my heart goes out to his family, friends, and everyone in his community during this incredibly difficult time.
Rest in peace, Farooq. You will never be forgotten. 💖
