I'm not going to say the classic witchy thing "(b)itch before you send your lazy-arsed attack check who's watching my back and ask yourself if it's worth getting a deity against you" but some people clearly need the experience.

I saw some suspicious tiny fly in my house today.
It's February, it's not season for them.
Before I could actually find it again to end it, What do you know?
It's dead in the candle that I light up for Venus to protect and purify the house.

And most things that are sent my way I don't even feel cause admittedly my spiritual team works overtime when I just exist to ruffle feathers calling out performative witchcraft and standing up against fascism.

Genuine question witches: in activism witchcraft I always have one huge issue and it's people who think lighting a candle or doing a spell is "doing something" and enough to wash their conscience. We leave "thoughts and prayers" to the christofascists.

If i haven't shared much since before the holidays it's because for weeks now I've felt like this must have been what Italy was like at the beginning of 1940. I don't understand how we got on the verge of wwiii and let that happen. I thought principles of kindness and decency were obvious but now I realise they were pushed through the sitcom media of the 90s because bullies need idealistic people to just punch. And we never punched back because we thought we knew better about decency. Robert Zemeckis claimed bif tannen, the bully in back to the future, was based on Trump. Well if that wasn't accurate. And then some.

And now we are at the stage where people are killed in broad daylight in the US by the modern black shirts that are ICE. And we can just sit back and wonder how we got this far and this bad when the entire infrastructure of the community has been eroded SINCE WWII. Whereas my grandparents could live off of their allotment and exchange food in war times, what will we do? Capitalism moved to neoliberalism closed us up in offices and slowly eroded any kind of actual survival skill we had because we are so much easier to be rounded up like this.

And when someone who's as attached to life as myself with my thanatophobia, to have to consider "do I know how to exit on my own terms?" Is truly dire.
