You'd never believe it, but we're a bit swamped here in store today and all hands are on deck serving customers! We're aiming for a start time for stream today of 3:30 AEST (about 45 minutes from now) but we may or may not see you then!
In case you missed the video, we will be streaming TODAY instead of tomorrow because of the Anzac Day public holiday tomorrow. Still on at 2:30pm AEST! Look forward to seeing you there!
We're going live at our regular time slot of 2:30pm AEDT today, but we're going to be doing a SPOT special if we hit over 300 viewers, so make sure you're there!
In response to a comment made about if Bullion Now has gone "belly up" Michael has written a response that I thought should be shared with our wider youtube community.
Hi Everyone,
Bullion Now has not gone belly up but has certainly been under the pump of late. With what is going on in the world at the moment I think all bullion dealers are struggling with the increased load and supplies are getting tight. However, this is not a good enough reason for the below average service that BN has been offering of late. We built our whole business on openness and transparency, great customer service and lifting the veil on the mysteries and fearmongers that seem to reign in this industry at different times. To a degree we have been a victim of our own success. It would not be right for us to shy away from the spotlight when it shines on us when we don't meet customer expectations. So here is the "goss":
As many can attest to - we have had queues out the door with wait times up to 2 hours sometimes. Our phones have rung off the hook, message bank filled time and again to the point of bursting. We answer one call and find we've missed three in the process. Our email account has been filled to overflowing and instead of getting back to people within 24 hours which is company policy - it has sometimes been over a week before people have heard anything back from us. Supplies and suppliers have been also under the same strain to a point where sometimes we haven't been able to supply pre-orders for several weeks . The back end is straining under the pressure and it is telling on the weariness of the BN staff. This is not the BN I started nor is it the BN I want to run and be proud of.
So what are we doing about it? A great question.
We are advertising for new people to join the BN crew (if you think you might fit - please send us a resume - resume@bullionnow.com.au). Not just anyone but high quality people who believe in their core that excellent customer service and integrity is the norm. They don't have to be perfect (none of us are) but they do have to be committed to BN's ethos of excellent customer service and providing what is best for each member of the Bullion Now family - not what is most profitable or most convenient.
We are opening new premises in Pakenham. This will enable us to deliver more quickly and accurately, receive more products from suppliers within Australia and overseas, process customer enquiries and needs more quickly, and have more options for you to purchase and pick up your products with free parking. It will also allow more space to have more phone, email and livechat staff to answer your enquiries.
We are expanding the Melbourne shop so we can fit more customer facing staff, to help more of the Bullion Now family that come in, more quickly and more efficiently, and provide more rooms so your transactions can be private.
We are exploring other places to open stores so we can service the Bullion Now family closer to where they are.
Many other changes are occurring that you may not see straight away but will hopefully feel the effect of with our new, improved services.
We really appreciate everyone's patience and feedback. Many of the changes we have made, and are making, are because of the assistance the Bullion Now family has given us over the years. We are excited by the changes we are making but the process is grinding all our gears. Hang on tight - great things are coming. - Michael
We'll be in Perth for the next couple of days and will be at The Grosvenor Hotel for a catchup tomorrow night at 6:30pm (Perth time!). So feel free to head down and meet Michael and maybe some special guests from the Mint! We'll also be streaming from the Perth Mint WITH The Perth Mint on Friday, so make sure to tune in for this week's stream on Friday at 2:30pm (AEST) to ask any questions you might have!
Michael is going to be appearing on the TV tomorrow morning over on the ABC (Australian Broadcasting Corporation) for their breakfast show! Keep an eye on our socials tomorrow for updates and maybe even some behind the scenes!
What do you think about Perth Mint's 125th Anniversary series? We think it's a winner! We can finally show the design, and we'll be able to start selling these on the 9th of April! Will be available in a 1oz gold, silver and platinum! Stay tuned for the epic unboxing!
