I just got my RV back from the shop and wow, was I ever taken for a ride! They tried to sell me $860 in fluids and filters which they just did a year ago to resolve a mysterious low power issue that somehow showed up after I dropped it off. I was also told the rear differential needed to be rebuilt for several thousand dollars to fix a vibration problem. I ended up figuring out the problems myself, and the fixes for both issues combined is less than $100. Stay tuned, there will definitely be videos of this! Time to go on a rant about bad / dishonest mechanics and shops.
Should I straight pipe the 8.3 Cummins in the RV? The tailpipe fell off during our last trip and therefore will not pass a safety inspection. The shop quoted me $1100 to fix it, which I am obviously NOT going to pay lol.
