A metal detecting channel that started out as videos I just shared with my friends and family here on southern Vancouver Island and now all of you. I do my best to show you the metal detector working and live digs. I’m not going to just show you what I found. I want everyone to see what goes into each target. Sometimes it takes a few hours just to make a short video. Sometimes multiple trips out. I had someone reach out to me about this Chinese coin I found in one of my videos and identified it as. Qing Dynasty (1736–1795). Very cool. That would make it the oldest coin so far.

1887 Liberty Head nickel from last night’s hunt! Not enough for a full video yet, but hopefully next week’s hunt turns up more silver and old coins. What would you rather find: old U.S. coins or silver Canadian coins?

My first British merchant token found on a Canadian shoreline last night. It’s dated 1869. I included an example of one from eBay from 1880. How cool is that. Imagine the story it could tell and the journey its been on
