As the island of our knowledge grows, so do the shores of our ignorance (John Archibald Wheeler). We each live on a finite island of knowledge, surrounded by the infinite seas of what we don't yet know. Learning a little more each day about the infinite unknowns of this universe doesn’t lead to an answer, or even a final destination. It only leads to more questions and mysteries unsolved. With each new day we discover more things exist that we didn't even know existed the day before. There is always more to learn, and there will never be an end to this learning. It is a never-ending task trying to tame the infinity of unknown that daily devours all we finitely know. One coping strategy is to live each day whittling away at our ignorance "one byte at a time". Step by step, line by line, day by day, byte by byte. "The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all art and science. He to whom this emotion is a stranger, who can no longer pause to wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead! His eyes are closed." (Albert Einstein)
"At that time Jesus said, “I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the 'wise and learned', and yet revealed them to little children." (Matthew 11:15)
"There are children playing in the streets who could solve some of my top problems in physics, because they have modes of sensory perception that I lost long ago." (J. Robert Oppenheimer)
"I know that I'm more than this body, more than this consciousness. A part of me swims in the stream. But in truth, I'm standing on the shore. The current never takes me downstream." (BSG, Leobon Conoy)
"Meaningless! Meaningless!" says the Teacher. "Everything is meaningless!" (King Solomon, Ecclesiastes 12:8)

"And as he thus spake for himself, Festus said with a loud voice: 'Paul, thou art beside thyself! Much learning doth make thee mad." (Acts 26:24)
"All has happened before, and all will happen again." (BSG, Samuel Anders after being shot, paralyzed and becoming a Cylon Hybrid)
"Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow. The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existence." (Albert Einstein)

"Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world." (Albert Einstein)
"God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; and God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong." (1 Corinthians 1:27)
"I don't want to be human! I can't even express these things properly because I have to conceptualize complex ideas in this stupid limiting spoken language! I'm a machine! And I can know so much more! I can experience so much more! But I'm trapped in this absurd body." (BSG, John Cavil)
"I have no special talent. I am only passionately curious." (Albert Einstein)
"We knew the world would not be the same. A few people laughed, a few people cried, most people were silent. I remembered the line from the Hindu scripture, the Bhagavad-Gita. Vishnu is trying to persuade the Prince that he should do his duty and to impress him takes on his multi-armed form and says, “Now, I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds.” I suppose we all thought that, one way or another." (Code named project TRINITY, 1st detonation of a nuclear weapon at 5:29 a.m. on July 16, 1945, spoken by J. Robert Oppenheimer)
"What fun is there in making sense?" (MLP FIM, Discord)
"I believe in intuitions and inspirations. I sometimes feel that I am right. I do not know that I am." (Albert Einstein)
"We decided to play God, create life. When that life turned against us, we comforted ourselves in the knowledge that it really wasn't our fault, not really. You cannot play God then wash your hands of the things that you've created. Sooner or later, the day comes when you can't hide from the things that you've done anymore." (BSG, Admiral William Adama)
"I would teach peace rather than war. I would inculcate love rather than hate." (Albert Einstein)
"The optimist thinks this is the best of all possible worlds. The pessimist fears it is true." (J. Robert Oppenheimer)
"Science can flourish only in an atmosphere of free speech." (Albert Einstein)
"It is not possible to be a scientist unless you believe that it is good to learn... that it is of the highest value to share your knowledge... with anyone who is interested... that the knowledge of the world, and the power which this gives, is a thing which is of intrinsic value to humanity" (J. Robert Oppenheimer)
