On the surface, it’s a cheap plastic guitar. But there’s a story behind it. The year was 1967 and my oldest brother was getting ready to leave for the army. I was just a little kid. He brought home this plastic guitar for me before he left. The cool thing about it was that it had a suction cup microphone that you would stick to the body of the guitar, from which a cord plugged into a small plastic amplifier. My first guitar! And pretending I was a Beatle was just too cool. So on one hand, a cheap hunk of plastic. On another hand, a cherished treasure that has had a lifelong and lasting impact on me. #music#musicianlife#family
