I'm a professional photographer from North Yorkshire and the first woodland photographer on YouTube. My passion is to explore, discover, experience and photograph the less obvious intimate scenes that are close to home.
I have a relaxed and considered approach to woodland photography. My videos communicate the benefits of an emotional connection to the landscape and the joys of sharing time outdoors with a four-legged friend.
I strive to craft images which do justice to the woodlands that continue to benefit my well-being. It’s the journey from discovery to print that gives me fulfilment and serves as a constant reminder that there’s much more to happiness in photography than a great photograph.

After just 2 weeks since my last video, I'm back with something a little different. My office has been messy, uninspiring, and boring for years, so this makeover was long overdue. Well hello YouTube! How are you all?
In my last video (ages ago) I said that this was going to be the year that things get done, and I've stuck to my word! My health has been improving nicely, so I've been very busy improving my working spaces at home, which have been desperate for an overhaul. Me and Meg will be out very early tomorrow morning enjoying the joys of a spring woodland, but we'll be home in plenty of time for our new video going live at 6pm. Hope to see you then!

It sometimes feels like I'm not making photographs for myself, but speaking for the woodlands I'm attached to. Scruff, chaos, 'distractions', they all have their place when not only exploring your inner world, but being a voice for the nature you love - warts and all. This image is from last autumn.
Me and Meg are heading north soon - a 10-day workshop with 4 regular clients. I have videos lined up for when I return. Until then - have a fab October of photography among the trees!!
