After Olivia Newton-John won the 1974 CMA Award for Female Vocalist of the Year a beautiful friendship was formed. Dolly Parton became a fan and friend, congratulating her on this achievement, a rare one, for a non-American artist. As a nod to her friend, Olivia recorded a cover of Parton's classic hit "Jolene" on her 1976 album Come On Over. This isn’t goodbye - it’s a celebration of Olivia's legacy and a look ahead to the future.

For many years, Olivia’s Walk for Wellness has brought people together in support of Austin Health's Olivia Newton-John Cancer and Wellness Centre, a place created from Olivia’s dream of treating the whole-person with compassion, kindness and care through their cancer journey.

In 2026, we’ll come together for the final Olivia’s Walk for Wellness, marking the end of an extraordinary chapter that has united thousands of people in honour of Olivia and her vision.

To everyone who has walked, donated, volunteered, shared their stories, and supported Olivia’s legacy over the years, thank you. Your love and generosity have helped make a real difference in the lives of countless people facing cancer.

While the Walk is coming to a close, Olivia’s vision lives on. The ONJ Cancer Centre continues to evolve and grow, ensuring more patients and families can access the care, support and wellness services they need.

Before this chapter ends, we hope you’ll join us one last time.
Registrations are now open for the final Olivia’s Walk for Wellness on Sunday, 4 October 2026 in Melbourne, Australia or virtually anywhere around the world throughout October. Get together with your family, friends and loved ones as we celebrate Olivia’s extraordinary legacy and the community that continues to carry her message of hope forward.
