What is a facilitated group?

The Living the Light Workbook is designed to be experienced in community.
Inspired by The Light After Death and Vinney Tolman’s near-death experience, the workbook helps you apply ten spiritual principles taught to him that strengthen your connection with God and bring more light into your life. While it can be used on your own, facilitated groups offer deeper connection, support, and growth. Trained Living God’s Light facilitators guide 12-week groups with weekly one-hour sessions, partner check-ins, reflective readings, and practical activities—mostly online, with some in person. Heather McDonald

"Hello Light Lovers! My name is Heather McDonald. I am a mother of two and wife of one. My son is a university student and my daughter is in high school. My husband is a firefighter/paramedic and the love of my life. He teaches me selflessness every day through his actions.
My family is my joy. My favorite place to be is either outside, feeling the warm sun on my face, or under the stars. This year, I’ve twice had the unique privilege of witnessing the Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights). It was a nurturing highlight in my continuance. My life is full and I am very blessed in the opportunities God has trusted me with on this Earth. I know His hand is in all things. I know and respect there are many names that represent and honor Him.

I am a truth seeker and cautious of fabrication or embellishment. I believe authenticity and the ability to connect with our Creator is crucial to our progress. As we seek to have a positive impact on all those we encounter, we change and reach a higher potential. Learning to better trust and love ourselves helps us to trust and love others. Each individual has a curriculum uniquely crafted for them, the good and the bad. Our existence is eternal.

I love sharing the Light After Death with anyone who will listen. I discovered it through a friend after telling her about an experience I’d had with my grandmother, who was on the other side of the veil at the time. Lynn and Vinney’s book really brought new a perspective into my life and I’m so grateful they shared this gift they were given. I feel open and can’t wait to learn more with you as you share your glow! We have purpose and light within us, and we’re meant to illuminate the world. Know you are loved always!"

We had a wonderful turnout for our Community Event this past Saturday!
This is what our wonderful host, Ken, had to say:

"I must say it went better than expected. The day before it looked like it was gonna start raining at noon and continue for the rest of the day. I was almost tempted to cancel the event and seeing that only two people had got back with me.
When Saturday afternoon came I met the two individuals. They had driven 2 1/2 hours to be at this event. I was amazed it was clear and sunny out. I told him it looked like it was just the three of us to do the hike and since we are a little early, I said let’s give it a few minutes and see if anybody appears. To my amazement, six more people appeared and now we had nine, which actually is a perfect number to take on this hike because mainly it’s single track trails.
We went around the group and introduced each other then started off the hike by ringing the bell of gratitude. Each of us took a turn ringing the bell some of us spoke on what we are grateful for . But the sound of that bell resonating just felt like it would never ever end.

During the walk, we saw insects identified trees and plants, talk about some of the tracks we saw, and we even took time to hug trees. One particular oak tree it took five of us, hands interlock, to go around the tree. After the hike, we went back to my house where we had fresh homemade plain and blueberry scones with tea. By the time, I walked everyone back to the cars then back home, wouldn’t you know it? It just started to rain. I’m just truly grateful and amaze how well God takes care of us and loves us all."

Tomorrow!


Please join us for an afternoon of Hiking and Photography at Hickory Preserve.


We will be hiking 2.5 to 3 miles on trails and taking photographs. There will be light refreshments and snacks after hiking, where we will share our experience and pictures. No experience needed, just be yourself and let your creativity flow.


Bring comfortable shoes, a water bottle, a camera (your phone will do), and hiking sticks, as there is uneven ground. Dress for the weather that day (the event will be cancelled if the weather is bad).
