Important Tormek Diamond Wheel Update:
After just 20 knives, the DC-250 coarse wheel seems to have lost so much bite so as to render it too blunt to use for heavy removal. It still works on on thin knives in very good condition that only need a small touch.

This is (as you can imagine) extremely disappointing.

I actually stopped using it and reverted back to the Blackstone wheel just so I could get my work done last night. Knives were taking half an hour to grind to an apex and yes I’ve been extremely careful to apply very light pressure.

I’ll be making a movie about it shortly. Just thought you should all know before you rush out and order them.

Blackstone for the win? We’ll see but I think so, yes.
