Hi, I'm MechElina.
Through music and poetry, I give a voice to emotions, experiences and stories that often remain unspoken. My work explores themes of love, loss, hope, faith, healing and resilience. What you hear never begins with music. It begins in my heart. Sometimes in silence, with a tear, or with a smile.
Every poem is written by me and born from moments when feelings become too big to hold and my soul begins to whisper. Those whispers find their way into words, and those words become music.
The vocals and music are supported by AI, but the soul behind them is mine.

“If I Would Listen” is very personal to me. It was born from something God once spoke to my heart:
“If you listen more to Me, I will speak more to you.”
I’ve carried those words with me ever since. This song is about my own struggle with listening, trusting and fully surrendering to God, wanting to give Him everything, but realizing I can’t do it in my own strength.

On my birthday, four months after my father passed away in 2018, I wrote a poem called Dear Daddy.
Writing became my way of expressing the grief, love, and precious memories I carried in my heart.
Years later, I returned to those words and reimagined them as a Music Poetry song.
Originally written in Dutch in August 2018
Translated into English in June 2024
Reimagined as a Music Poetry song in June 2026
This song is my tribute to my father, but it is also for everyone who has lost someone they love.
Because love never truly says goodbye. It lives on in our memories, in our hearts, and in the lives they touched.

My birthday in 2018 was unlike any other. Just four months after losing my father, I wrote a poem called Dear Daddy.
It was my way of putting grief, love, and precious memories into words while my heart was learning how to live without him.
Recently, I revisited that poem and gave it new life through music.

Dear Daddy is a heartfelt tribute to a father who may be gone, but is never forgotten.
Because love does not end when someone leaves this world.
