*Significance*
The Kashi Vishwanath Temple is considered one of the most sacred temples in Hinduism. It is believed that a visit to this temple can liberate one from the cycle of birth and death. The temple is also famous for its Ganga Aarti, which takes place every evening.

The Kashi Vishwanath Temple is believed to have been built during the reign of the Chandragupta II (375-415 AD) of the Gupta Empire. However, the temple's existence dates back to the 6th century BC.

Destruction and Rebuilding (1194-1585 AD)
The temple was destroyed by Qutb-ud-din Aibak in 1194 AD, during the Muslim conquest of India. It was rebuilt by a local merchant in 1585 AD.

Mughal Era (1632-1669 AD)
The temple was again destroyed by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in 1632 AD. The current temple was built by Rani Ahilyabai Holkar, the queen of
