🚨 Power Orgins Update 🚨

According to Deadline, production is officially underway on the next chapter of the Power Universe, Power: Origins, currently filming in New York and New Jersey. The series has added several recurring cast members, including Kelly McCreary, Hill Harper, Damon Gupton, and Tonya Pinkins.

Also returning is Nadia Dajani, reprising her role as Teresa Boselli, first introduced in Power Book III: Raising Kanan Season 3.

Power: Origins takes us back to the beginning, focusing on the early years of James “Ghost” St. James and Tommy Egan, portrayed by Spence Moore II and Charlie Mann. Mekai Curtis returns as Kanan Stark, continuing his journey from Raising Kanan.

The series follows Ghost, Tommy, and Kanan as ambitious young hustlers determined to build their legacy on the streets of New York City. Notably, Season 1 will feature 18 episodes, a major expansion compared to the traditional 10-episode seasons of previous Power spinoffs.

🔹 Character Breakdown:
• Teresa Boselli (Nadia Dajani): Tough, unsentimental widow of Sal Boselli, with unfinished business tied to Raq and Kanan.
• Officer Melanie Rivers (Kelly McCreary): Strategic, commanding, and mysterious.
• Detective Burns (Hill Harper): Relentless investigator who can’t resist inserting himself where he may not belong.
• Grandma Charlayne (Tonya Pinkins): Ghost’s loving grandmother, whose neurological struggles blur the lines of reality.
• Detective Glover Archibald (Damon Gupton)

The origin story is officially in motion—and the Power legacy is far from over.
