Pastor Morris Gacheru

“He made my mouth like a sharpened sword... he made me into a polished arrow.”

God is not merely adding blessings to your life; He is constructing something within you that can carry His presence, represent His heart, and fulfill His assignment. The building process may involve pressure, waiting, pruning, and stretching, but every stage is preparing you for greater usefulness.

You are not merely blessed to receive from God. You are being built to become a channel through which His grace reaches others.

I continue with Part 2 this Sunday. Karibu sana

God has given us the responsibility to build ourselves up. The pastor can teach, preach and prophesy, but there is a dimension of spiritual growth that requires your participation.
We build on the most holy faith; the finished work of Christ, and we strengthen ourselves through prayer, particularly as we pray in the Holy Spirit.
You cannot outsource your spiritual growth. You must build yourself up.
Join me this Sunday as we unpack EPOIKODOMEO - BUILD YOURSELF UP.
📍 Jubilee Christian Church, Thika Road

Sunday, 30th August
Come ready to be strengthened and established in Christ.
See you there!

THE AUDACITY TO ASK

The Daughters of Zelophehad did not merely recognise that something was wrong.

They did something about it.

They stood before Moses, Eleazar, the leaders, and the entire congregation and presented their case.

There is a moment when private conviction must become public declaration.

This is where audacity becomes necessary.

Audacity is the courage to act on what you have discerned from God, even when doing so creates a stir.

When you challenge an established standard, somebody will notice.

When you refuse the identity assigned to you, somebody will question you.

When you step outside the boundaries people have become comfortable with, your movement may disturb the room.

But the daughters did not allow the possibility of opposition to silence their petition.

They understood that their inheritance was worth standing for.

There are things you will never possess by merely agreeing with your limitations. At some point, you have to step forward and say, “This is what I am believing God for. This is what He has made available. This is what I will pursue.”

And sometimes, the very thing that causes a stir is the thing God uses to shift a standard.

Do not let intimidation negotiate you out of your inheritance.

Step forward.

Ask.

Stand your ground.

Let your faith have a voice.

Numbers 27:1-7; Hebrews 4:16; James 2:17

REJECT THE MOLD

“The daughters of Zelophehad speak what is right…” Numbers 27:7
There are limitations that God never placed on you, yet you have learned to live within them.

Some are imposed by culture. Others by systems. Others still are self-imposed - the invisible boxes we build around our own lives because of what we have been told is possible, acceptable, or attainable.

The Daughters of Zelophehad found themselves within a system that, as it stood, appeared to leave them without an inheritance because their father had no sons. But they refused to interpret their future through the limitations of their present.

They stepped forward and brought their case before Moses.

This is where spiritual perception matters. You must be able to distinguish between what is a boundary God has established and what is merely a limitation created by men, culture, fear, or tradition.

They did not rebel against God. They challenged an understanding of inheritance that did not account for their particular situation, and God Himself declared that their petition was right.

Sometimes the first miracle is not that the situation changes.

It is that your mind is liberated from the box that told you the situation could never change.

Do not allow people's opinions to become the architecture of your destiny.

There is more in God than the limits others have placed around you.

Reject the mold. Refuse the box. See beyond the limitation.

Numbers 27:1-11; Romans 12:2; Ephesians 3:20

We are praying! See you tonight

Christ is seated far above every principality, power, might and dominion. And where Christ is, that is where we are seated in Him, far above.

The Father said to Him, “Sit at My right hand, till I make Your enemies Your footstool.” (Psalm 110:1)

Yet Scripture also tells us that “the God of peace will crush Satan under your feet shortly.” (Romans 16:20)

Why?

Because Christ is the Head, and we are His Body.

The authority of the Head is being expressed through the Body. His life is in us. His victory is at work in us. His authority is not merely something we celebrate in Christ; it is a reality that must find expression through His Church.

This is why we must be careful about the things we allow to frustrate the working of God in us. We cannot carry resurrection life and continue yielding ourselves to the things that contradict that life.

We have been raised with Christ and seated with Him in heavenly places. We therefore live from His victory, not toward it. What Christ has accomplished as the Head, His Body is called to express.

The Church is not powerless, waiting for Christ to defeat what He has already defeated. We are His Body, and His life, authority and victory are being made manifest through us.

We are seated with Him. Now we must live from that position.
